Ceramic Horned Frog

I made this ceramic frog for a project about a world issue.. I chose to focus on conservation and I decided that a frog, especially a Surinam horned frog, was a good symbol for this issue. Horned frogs come from South America and are especially harmed by the deforestation in the Amazon Rainforest. I first hand-sculpted the frog and then hollowed it out. The lumpy, blob-like shape of the frog mimics the shape of horned frogs in real life. I used green glaze with black and red spots to mimic the pattern of a real frog.
