I like the abstractness of this shot. It is hard to tell where on a building this picture was taken, but that's exactly what I like about it. This picture breaks down the architecture of this corner to its most basic form, lighting, shape, and detail. This is a corner of an abandoned café in downtown Portland. I love how the hard, straight lines of the building contrast with the curves of the skylight underneath. I also find it interesting how the shadows show up on the image in different shapes and the blank empty wall is decorated with hints of graffiti. This picture to me is representative of the built environment and how a building changes during it's life time.
